Being a busy working mom of two boys I rarely have time to edit and print my own photographs or take pictures of my own family. Even though, over the years I have taken many pictures of them, I never printed any. It is when we moved to a new house last year that it hit me. Last summer is when I completely restructured my business and started to only offer full service experience. My clients can't leave my studio with just a USB in their hands or an online gallery. I am very proud of the product line I have to offer my clients and they are grateful that I take the designing & printing job off of them. The most important aspect is that I am there with my clients and for me clients helping them pick their favorites and offer appropriate media and size.
Yes, it is an investment, but this investment will last a lifetime. I just spent over $20K on fixing my house that got damaged by Harvey that hit Houston last year and the builders spent total 2 days on the job. When you hire a professional photographer, the amount of time spent is enormous if you count everything in starting the initial inquiry. Yet, most of the people are not ready to spend thousands on quality handmade photography products delivered to their door. I hope more & more people will be realizing the importance of printed memories and hiring photographers that offer this service will become a new reality.
