I order holiday cards online from another site but didn't think I could find high-quality bar mitzvah invitations. I'm happy to say I was totally wrong. I ordered a single, personalized sample card from Basic Invite in both regular and double-thick weight for a very low fee. It arrived promptly (along with a generous discount offer) and the double-thick weight felt very substantial, similar to a letterpress card. I was able to tweak the layout shown here to include both service and celebration information, so that we didn't need to include an insert card - reducing cost for the invitations and for eventual postage. And I was able to customize the color of the envelope liners to match the dark blue on the cards (they were self-stick and super easy to insert). The invitations were at my door in a week (I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Basic Invite logo does not appear on the back, as it did on the sample) and Basic Invite overnighted one envelope I had added to the address book late (but before approving my proof) that somehow it wasn't printed in the original order. I was a bit frustrated that I didn't have the option to print on the envelope in a color matching the invitation (they only offer printing in black) or to put the return address on the back flap (because they will only print on one side of an envelope) but those were minor issues given the high qualify and very reasonable cost of our invitations. Also, because the cost was so reasonable, we were able to print two envelopes for a number of guests and can decide later whether we invite them with or without children (we're not mailing for a month). Finally, while there were no thank you notes matching this design that I liked (the coordinating cards require a full-bleed photo of the child), I was able to tweak a design from another suite by changing the colors to match this invitation. All in all, this was a great experience and I highly recommend Basic Invite. Thank you!
